Tasting Notes
The Cure is a bold, black fruit beauty with loads of savory spice, herbes de Provence, leather and fragrant incense. At 45% Mourvedre, the 2021 vintage has notes of earth and a subtle gaminess. This wine is big on the nose and palate and will continue to evolve for many years ahead.

Winemaking
Grapes were carefully berry and cluster sorted, 100% destemmed and fermented in stainless steel. After a cold maceration of 3-5 days, daily punch-downs, pump-overs and pneumotage were conducted.

Winemaker Comments
This is the very first harvest from Copia's Willow Creek Estate Vineyard, which, geographically speaking, backs into Terry Hogue's TH Estate Vineyard and L'Aventure's Arbor Road Vineyard. This harvest was very similar to becoming new parents, complete with dreams of perfection and lack of sleep. We are very happy with the quality of the fruit of this first harvest.
This year, The Cure is Mourvèdre-dominant, Copia's Willow Creek Estate and Fulldraw Vineyard).

Ratings
95 pts - The Somm Journal | "Bright pomegranate and dark chocolate coat the palate of this winsome blend of 45% Mourvedre, 28% Grenache, 27% Syrah. Energetic notes of spearmint, laurel, and lavender add to the generous plush purple fruit."

95 pts - Wine Enthusiast

94pts - Owen Bargreen | This is well-balanced stuff with a smoky and savory edge. Black currants and smoked brisket flavors all meld well with chocolate and garrigue notes. Complex and delicious, this is really good now and one the next decade.

94-96 pts - Jeb Dunnuck | " ... textured, with medium to full-bodied richness. Count me impressed."
