“Some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment, and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.” — Gilda Radner
As a winemaker, one notices that Grenache is filled with pageantry and pomp right from the get-go. It hangs plump and heavy on the vine, challenging all to control its obvious vigor. And once it’s in the winery, Grenache can barely hold its audacious tendencies undercover. It takes great patience and understanding to gently coax out the delicate aromas alongside bold flavor. Copia’s 2019 The Story displays extraordinary berry fruit and kirsch notes intermixed with fennel, violets, and graphite. Medium- to full-bodied, spice is also vibrantly layered in with a lovely extended finish.

91-93 pts, Jeb Dunnuck | The 2019 The Story checks in as 92% Grenache and 8% Syrah, and it's nicely textured, medium to full-bodied, and balanced, with youthful gamey, meaty, herbal-tinged fruits. It should easily be outstanding.
